Chasing Nugget

A story of love, loss and coming home.

Some dogs sit. Some dogs stay. Nugget did neither.

Meet a wonderfully unruly golden dog, a little girl who loves him, and a story about the memories we carry and the love that never truly leaves us.

The Heart Behind the Story

Chasing Nugget began with a real little girl, a wonderfully mischievous golden retriever, and a mother whose love never faded.

When I was almost seven years old, I lost my mom. But the memories of her, along with the laughter, comfort, and chaos of a beloved family dog, stayed with me.

Years later, those memories became the inspiration for a story I hope will remind children that love doesn't disappear when someone we cherish is gone. It finds ways to stay with us.
